MPEGRepairHD® is our flagship product that includes all of our MPEG/AVC/HEVC encoding, decoding, analysis and repair capabilities including multi-format closed captioning insertion (with and without transcoding), encoding of huge dome sized frames, logo insertion, Active Format Description (AFD) insertion and hundreds of other capabilities that have been requested by video processing companies over the past two decades. MPEGRepairHD can run in automated batch mode enabling processing of multiple files in the background without user intervention.

Expert-Caption® performs closed caption insertion of CEA-708 and CEA-608 captions from transcribed files into MPEG and AVC video files without transcoding the video. The tool includes an accurate CEA-708 and 608 display to verify the inserted captions. Expert-Caption can also extract captions, scrub captions, and transcode captions. The tool also includes a stream analyzer and stream splitter. Works with MPEG, MXF and AVC files. (HEVC/AVC plug-in required for AVC transport muxing.)

Expert-HD™ encodes files into high quality MPEG, AVC and HEVC video. The tool supports insertion of CEA-708 and 608 captions into the stream during encoding and also supports open captioning. Versatile controls enable quality encoding optimization. The tool runs in the batch mode. ExpertHD includes all of the encoding capability of MPEGRepairHD. Windows Only

Expert-Mux™ is a windows oriented application that combines HEVC, AVC, or MPEG video with AC3, AAC, MP3 or PCM audio into fully synchronized system program or transport streams.  Drag and Drop eliminates the need for file browsing. The Batch Control Dialog Window controls loading, saving, and unattended multiplexing of a large number of multiplexing jobs.

MPEGEscort® embosses an encoded MPEG video stream with an indiscernible yet technically detectable message using a patented digital video watermarking process.

Plug-In Tools

Expert Broadcast™ is a high quality MPEG export plug-in to Adobe Premiere that exports broadcast compliant Transport/Program streams with embedded 708/608 closed captioning directly from the time line. The plug-in utilizes the high performance encoding engine of our the top of the line tools and also includes precise 608 to 708 transcoding from .SCC files.  The tool supports 8 channel PCM SMPTE-302m audio in the output transport making this a perfect tool for encoding content for direct broadcast or onboarding. Presets are provided that assure compliance with ATSC broadcast specifications and onboarding requirements for VOD providers such as Netflix and DirecTV. Windows Only.

HDPro QuickTime (QT)™is an export component plug-in that adds HD and SD MPEG Transport or Program stream output capability to programs such as Final Cut Pro 7 and the QuickTime Player Pro 7.  The tool can embed CEA-708/608 closed captions in the output video and supports 8 channel PCM SMPTE-302m audio in the output transport making this a perfect tool for encoding content for direct broadcast or onboarding. Presets are provided that assure compliance with ATSC broadcast specifications and onboarding requirements for VOD providers such as Netflix and DirecTV.

Software Development Tools

The power of PixelTools Expert-HD encoder, MPEGRepair decoder with analyzer and transmux transport multiplexer/demultiplexer is now available as Expert-Workshop Software Development Kit (SDK). PixelTools Expert Workshop SDK provides an API for high quality/high speed MPEG encoding, multiplexing, and decoding. MPEG Workshop library is the workhorse for PixelTools Expert-HD encoder and MPEGRepair.

The accurate closed captioning conversion, transcoding and rendering capability of MPEGRepairHD and Expert-Caption are available as stand alone libraries to easily empower your applications with closed captioning. The C Caption Software Development Kit (SDK) provides an API for rendering CEA 708 and 608 closed captioning data embedded in a video stream onto the decoded video display. The tool also provides translation from .SCC files, .TXT files and other formats to CEA-708.

Legacy Tools

Expert-H264® encodes popular source formats such as AVI, TGA and BMP into the new H.264 Advanced Video Coding format. H.264 yields the most efficient standards-based video coding to date, reducing bit-rates 3 to 4 times compared to MPEG-2 with similar quality.

Expert-DVD® is a MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 constant and variable bit rate encoder that produces high quality compressed streams for motion picture studio DVD releases.

Expert-Multiplexer® combines compressed video and audio into MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 program streams

Expert-Audio™ is a MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 audio encoder.

SimpleDVD® for Windows XP and 2000 converts NTSC and PAL DV-AVI video/audio file into a single chapter DVD file structure and writes the structure to a 4.7 Gbyte DVD-R/RW or DVD+RW disc.
