|
Overview
PixelTools MPEGRepairHD and ExpertHD encoders are optimized for popular 4K and 8K video formats in support of leading edge cameras and displays. New presets provide direct configuration of the new high resolution formats
Demo of 4K and 8K Encoding
You can download a demo of the PixelTools MPEGRepairHD set up to encode at 4K frame size from our web site (Mpr4Kdemo.zip). Just download and unzip the file and click on the RunDemo.bat file. The demo launches MPEGRepairHD and encodes a single 4096 x 1714 image into a 30 second MPEG stream. Following the encoding, you can launch MpegRep.exe from the demo folder and depress the Decode | Run button to display the decoded 30 second file you just created. The demo uses only one frame to save download space. You can use your frames as well in this demo.
4k and 8K Encoding
PixelTools MPEGRepairHD and ExpertHD includes presets for encoding popular 4K and 8K video monitor sizes. Select Base Encoding Profile | 4096 x 1714 or the size nearest your source and target video size. Once the encoder is configured to one of the 4K or 8K video sizes, you can set your exact frame size in the Encode | Configure | Parameters | Compressed Image Size | Horizontal and Vertical.
